I offer biodynamic craniosacral therapy for people of all ages, alongside specialised support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Your body is not separate from your experience. Your body holds your history, your transitions, and your capacity to move through challenges. Receiving attuned bodywork honours your body as a place of deep intelligence, memory and transformation – every experience we have is lived through the body. When your body experiences deep listening and skilled touch it is supported to digest and integrate your life experiences. Then the innate health you were born with expresses itself with a radiance that is your birthright.

About my journey

Pathways to this work

The rich strands of interest and skill-building in bodywork, birth, nervous system support, trauma resolution and reproductive health have been collected over decades and are now woven into a rich and embodied care offering.

I was invited to attend friends’ births during my early twenties whilst living in intentional community settings in northern NSW. These formative experiences gave me inspiring possibilities for my own pregnancies and births, which were positive testimonies to how trusted caring relationships lead to empowered and transformational experiences.

I have given and received bodywork regularly since my teen years, when I came to appreciate the deep settling and sense of coming home to the body which always came as a result. I noticed the power of this way of being “in touch” with myself and others had a profoundly therapeutic effect which rippled out in positive ways throughout my daily life. When I needed to navigate intense physical and emotional challenges and upheaval, I realised that bodywork (and craniosacral therapy particularly) was uniquely effective at allowing these experiences to be effectively witnessed and integrated. My clever storytelling mind and tongue could always weave stories of distraction and deception but my animal body could never lie – and the bodywork would always facilitate an integration process in a generously whole and digestable manner. I continue to be deeply respectful of the power of this modality to facilitate change. This has felt like both mobilizing out of freeze, overwhelm and numbness and also grounding through activation and anxiety. This has transmuted locked energy into available vitality and wisdom. Knowing my body is a reliably safe place of resource and capacity has profoundly informed my orientation to daily life.

I participated in birth attendant training with the phenomenal Rhea Dempsey in 2014. Inspired by what I was experiencing as a doula, I then undertook university training in midwifery. Recognising the power of pediatric bodywork to effectively support health in our earliest days, I completed in-depth training in biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Most recently, developing the skills in Internal Pelvic Release Work has added an additional element in how attuned and specific listening and release in the pelvic bones and soft tissues can be pivotal not only in the context of birth preparation and recovery but in our experience of life across all stages.

My love of teaching and sharing knowledge is foundational to how I work. I have taught in school and community settings around the world. In addition to my bodywork and birth work practices, I currently enjoy teaching wellbeing at a local independent school. I participate in ongoing community study groups into nervous system awareness and education.

"Amanda, you are a wonderful energy! Your sessions are golden magic!"
